Turnings

An ever changing selection of bowls, plates, platters and other round things.

These are what I make with the scraps leftover from building furniture or from particularly beautiful pieces of firewood. I design as I go, so almost every piece is unique. The firewood is turned while it is still green, which allows me to make deeper bowls.  These will dry to an oval shape. Some I will re-turn so they are round and perfectly smooth, others I will leave oval and slightly coarse - rustic. All of my bowls are finished with food safe mineral oil and beeswax.
